Rates

Dr Schneider charges 150 CHF per hour for ongoing educational therapy (minimum of four sessions) and intervention and 175 CHF per hour for psychoeducational evaluation, consulting, and professional development.

Partial evaluations, measuring a narrow range of skills, are billed at the rate of 175 CHF per hour. This includes both testing time with your child and scoring and report writing.

The cost of a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation is determined by the total number of hours required to complete the evaluation process, billed at the rate of 175 CHF per hour. This includes testing time with your child, scoring and report writing, and the results review session with you. Depending on the referral question and the complexity and duration of the evaluation, the entire evaluation process may require eight to twelve hours and cost between 1400 CHF and 2100 CHF. (An especially complex evaluation may require additional time.)

Payment & Insurance Information

Dr Schneider does not participate in any insurance plan; however, international insurance companies may sometimes reimburse their clients for her services. (Please check with your insurer to determine whether this might be possible.) For comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, a partial payment of 500 CHF is required on the day of testing, with the balance due at the results review appointment, unless a payment plan has been pre-arranged.

Conditions of Service

Dr Schneider maintains strict client-provider confidentiality, and client records are released only to the client and/or the client's parent(s) or legal guardian(s). Records may also be released to school officials and/or other providers, if expressly authorised in writing by the client or the client's parent(s) or legal guardian(s). 

No definitive test or set of tests exists to diagnose a learning difficulty or difference with 100% accuracy. A diagnosis results from the convergence of data and may require the involvement of other professionals to gain a full picture of your child’s strengths and difficulties.

While Dr Schneider uses valid and reliable assessments and provides evidence-based intervention and psychoeducational therapy, she cannot guarantee any outcome, and she does not accept responsibility for any damage direct, indirect or consequential resulting from the use of her services.

Dr Schneider understands that it might sometimes be necessary to cancel an appointment on short notice, but she reserves the right to charge for missed appointments if notice is not provided at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment and documentation of an emergency is not presented.
